aaah, possibly one of my new favorite songs
and the rest of the musical is great too
if u dont know what im talking about, please go and watch RENT, preferably without your parents there
i just was in a BROADWAY BOUND performance of selections from this wonderful show
and, besides the fact that my parents completely freaked out afterwards (listen to La Vie Boheme and you will know what i mean), i cannot even tell you how much fun i had
added bonus, my big solo was in....hold your breath....

possibly one of the best songs in the entire musical
my suggestions for songs from RENT to listen to immediately as soon as you get your parents out of the room:
1. Another Day
2. I'll Cover You
3. Tango Maureen (wonderful use of a much beloved swearword)
4. La Vie Boheme (strongly suggest avoiding your parents listen to this one, tis really full, if you know what i mean)
5. Light My Candle (suggestive lyrics, but great tune)
6. RENT (the theme, you've probably heard it before (how we gonna pay, how we gonna pay, last years rent....))
7. Seasons of Love (i hate putting this on my list, cuz you've probably heard it before, and yes, i do know it is the most overplayed song ever, but, if you get past the annoyingness of hearing it again, it is actually a good song)
8. What You Own (more commonly known as "Living in America", but i'm using real names on these)
9. Out Tonight (o yes, this is the one we've all been waiting for...can you just say stripper song/dance)
10. Today 4 U (this is a great, hilarious song, if you watch the movie, you should know that Angel is the best character ever)
11. Take Me or Leave Me (arguably the best song in the musical, for me it ties with "I'll Cover You" and "Another Day")
12. Pretty much any other song from RENT you can get your hands on
now, if you don't know this already, my suggestion list basically is a written out song list of the songs in RENT, with added commentary
but thats just how good it is
